Fan Bingbing, born September 16, 1981, in Qingdao, Shandong, is a Chinese actress, producer, singer and businesswoman. She launched her acting career in the mid‑1990s and rose to fame in 1998 as Jinsuo in My Fair Princess, later shifting focus from television to film and exploring diverse genres. In the 2000s, Fan appeared in Fall in Love at First Sight (2002) and Battle of the Warriors (2006). She won Best Actress at the 27th Hundred Flowers Awards for Cell Phone (2003) in 2004. After founding her own studio in 2007, she became involved in producing television dramas including Rouge Snow (2008) and Memoirs of Madam Jin (2009). Her film work during this period included Lost in Beijing (2007), which competed at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival, and The Matrimony (2007), for which she won Best Supporting Actress at the 44th Golden Horse Awards.
